Heaven is a state of being

15 October 2014

I have had thousands of encounters and experiences connecting to people in the spirit world. Some of them have been hilarious, others have been poignant, several have been really memorable…

I have met elderly gentlemen and ladies, girlfriends, daughters, sons, mothers and dearly loved dads. On no occasion have I ever met a sad or distressed person in the spirit world.

One of my favourite spirit stories relates to the day I met dancing Jim.

He appeared to me in a dinner suit and black patent shoes and reminded me of Fred Astaire. I was the guest speaker at a club in Kalgoorlie. The room was full of guys and girls. It was very intense as I stood up to start the presentation. I was frozen on the spot. I could not see a thing with my psychic eye. I could only see the faces looking at me with great expectation.

A moment of panic hit, then to my relief. I heard this voice.

“Hi Pam, it’s Jimmy here” then I saw him, dressed for a night on the tiles. Yes black patent shoes and all.

My introduction to the room was along the lines of, “Excuse me, but I have a dancing gigolo here with me, in the spirit world. Does anyone know a light footed dancer, that has passed over to the spirit world? ”The whole room erupted into laughter.

I thought I had failed miserably. However, to my astonishment. The dancing phantom was indeed the local dance teacher. Three of his daughters and numerous lady friends were in the audience to claim him as Jim Jackson.

Once he was identified the rest of the information was fast and furious. He engaged in messages for most of the people present. He actually felt more alive than dead. He was so full of himself and his own life. It was truly bizarre. It was not until the end of the evening that one of the guests came forward and explained who the dancing phantom was. Apparently he was famous in Kalgoorlie for having affairs all over town. A real ladies man. In fact it was suggested that he probably fancied me too, that was a bit of a shock. I shuddered at the thought of a spirit romance with a total stranger. What could be funnier?

But then the state of joy and divine energy and love for the living is always so dominant that Heaven has to be a state of being not a place. Of this I am so sure.
