Gratitude is an attitude
Do you sometimes wonder what life is all about? Do you sometimes fall into the poor little old me trap? I call it PLOM disease.
You know what? Whenever you feel mean and lousy about something this little exercise gets you back on track really quickly.
It also makes me feel guilty about the negative attitudes I get sometimes… a good reality check I reckon…
First you have to take responsibility for where you are at. No blaming and complaining. Have a good look at what you have IN your life not what is missing and give HUGE thanks for all that you see.
I use this exercise just before I go to sleep.
This is what I do.
I start with me... I go through my body and check in with my head first then work down the whole body... Saying thank you body... Crazy isn’t it?
Then I go through items in the bedroom and all the stuff in the house. Saying thank you. Then I think about my family, kids the lot. If I am still awake by this time. I then go through the friends, work people, situations, holidays. If I am still awake. I get up and make a cuppa tea.. as now I have worked out I am stuck. I really need to write the whole thing out.
When I do get back to bed... Sleep is easy. I am now satisfied that my mind is more balanced and I feel in a better state of being.
I am truly grateful for my life.
Here the statement I often use; I am now so happy and grateful that my life is in harmony and peace right NOW.
Try it for yourself.
