Ice Cream on a stick
Whilst stories of spirit encounters abound in my work there are often statements by clients who report on visits from the spirit world themselves.
Often their opening sentence can be along the lines of I saw my mother she was standing at the end of the bed. Just two days after she died. I knew she was there I was not dreaming. I could see her it was fleeting and a slight sensing at the same time. It gave me such a sense of comfort. Like a final I am okay. This is very common.
Other comments are about signs and signals. Linda and her husband talked about him connecting with her through a piece of music when he died. Every time Linda hears the particular piece she knows John her husband is near.
Or Sue told me about her son Tom he was a surf lifesaver who died of skin cancer and every time she sees a pod of dolphins she knows it is a sign from her son Tom.
Often is can be familiar things that relate to the family member that triggers this sense of spirit. People will say. I just knew it was Dad. Or, that is so like my Mum she would so say that..
I often hear my own mother’s voice in my head. She used to call me “silly cat” it was her endearment to me. When I do stupid things like leave the car keys in the car.. or leave my wallet at home. I will hear my mother say.. “Silly cat.” I love the connections it keeps my Mum alive for me.
I am sure you too have many experiences or stories of these types of connections. It would be wonderful to send your encounter to me in an email. It helps so many people to have validation.
Chris came to visit to connect with her 96-year-old grandmother. I was able to tell her about her Grannies hats gloves and handbags. Chris knew the importance of these possessions and was thrilled with the knowledge that she was present. It was not until Granny mentioned all the airplanes that she had been on with Chris that the laughter started. Chris worked for an airline and always told her Granny about her trips.. Well not any more because now Granny was a trolley dolly too she was on every trip that Chris made.. Free air miles forever.
Penny’s Dad, John, was a hoot he was not even buried when he told us Penny and I about the delights of his new life. How he was cock of the hoop and top of the tree in the spirit world. He said he was busy buying all his spirit family ice creams on sticks in heaven. Penny laughed and laughed she asked why not red wine? It was not until a few days later that we heard from Penny’s nephew Josh, that he used to take Granddad John for an ice cream every Friday it was part of their routine right up until his death.
These gentle encounters with spirit happen spontaneously for me now and are part of my every day life. They are so delightful and come with a sense of every thing will be all right.
It is my love and passion of the invisible and incredible that inspires me write and teach how to access this energy that is available to us. All we need to do is know how to see hear and feel in a different manner.
