Mother's in Spirit

My mother Mary Parker passed into the spirit world on May 8th 2000 she was 80 years old and to us too young to leave. I think of her often and realise more than ever that I am very like her in her habits. She loved a tidy home and a good movie on the telly. Her best treat was a cup of tea and a crossword puzzle. She was brilliant at spelling and loved metaphors.. A lady who always remembered everyones birthday as she kept a birthday book. She wrote in her diary everyday, all the family incidents were recorded, we cherish these notes now. She was a person of habits, good habits and old fashioned values. Her favourite piece of advice was  " turn your disadvantages into advantages, every cloud has a sliver lining." I can hear her voice now.
